About the game

The investigation takes you through locked buildings, hidden routes and unsettling encounters. Ammunition, healing supplies and inventory space are limited, while coins pay for both supplies and payphone saves. New weapons and tools let you revisit previously blocked paths, and photographs attached to your map help you remember clues and unfinished puzzles.

Silver Pines Beginner Guide

Your opening priorities are simple: collect the diner's useful equipment, keep coins for saving, and avoid spending ammunition on every enemy. These habits help in both the demo and the full game.

  1. 1Drink coffee for more staminaCoffee machines permanently increase your maximum stamina. Check the Miner Diner's kitchen before moving on.
  2. 2Check payphone coin returnsInspect the return slot for change before paying to save. Keep coins available for calls instead of spending everything on supplies.
  3. 3Photograph clues and blocked pathsYour Polaroid photos attach to the map. Record locked doors, unusual symbols and clues so you know where to return.
  4. 4Repair weapons and choose your fightsBroken melee weapons deal very little damage. Use Duct Tape for small repairs, and crouch past distracted enemies when you can.

Silver Pines Safe and Puzzle Codes

Match each combination to its exact lock. The Town Hall Operations Office locker uses 1893, but the Crimson Bear Motel gate has a different code in each save: read Eddie's entry in the guest ledger.

  • Shotgun Locker and Motel Room 3: 6671The motel gift shop weapon locker and Room 3 safe share this combination. Calling Room 3 on 58883 provides the clue.
  • Union Building LockboxesEnter 1C, 3A, 2A, 3C for the supervisor's lockbox. The basement lockbox uses 1525; its clue is painted over on the wall of apartment 1C.

Silver Pines Weapons and Tools

Equipment serves two purposes here: surviving encounters and reaching new areas. Remember where you found an obstruction, then return with the tool that can clear it.

  • Shotgun

Look for it at the Crimson Bear Motel. It can blast through wooden barricades, so reserve shells for exploration as well as combat.

  • Box Cutter

Use it to cut cloth and plastic tarps blocking your route. A tool can still have traversal uses after its combat durability runs out.

  • Sledgehammer

Break cracked walls to reach new spaces. Obtaining it in Church Hill also lets you work toward accessing Motel Room 3.

  • Melee Weapon Repairs

Combine Spare Parts with Duct Tape to make a Makeshift Repair Kit. Keep repair supplies available before your melee weapon breaks.

Silver Pines Inventory and Character Upgrades

Extra carrying space, stamina and Memento slots make exploration more manageable. Look for Hip Bags, coffee machines and wooden bird figurines while searching each area.

Silver Pines Boss Preparation

Boss attempts draw from the same limited supplies you use while exploring. Check your health in the inventory, repair worn equipment and keep enough change to save before a dangerous encounter.

  • Union Building Boss Fight

Prepare ammunition, repaired equipment and healing tonics before attempting the encounter. Tonics provide immediate healing, while Medkits require a minigame.

  • Combat Essentials

Practice dodging and finishing downed enemies with the stomp prompt. Watch firearm indicators: weapons such as the shotgun require a shell to be ejected before firing again.

Silver Pines Ending Guide

There are three endings: Leave, Rest and Live. Keep a save at the payphone before meeting Eddie so you can revisit the ending routes. Read ending-specific pages when you are ready for story spoilers.

  • Live Ending

Explore the Live conclusion in the ending guide. Preserve your save before meeting Eddie if you want to see the other outcomes too.

  • Rest Ending

Find help with the Rest conclusion, one of the game's three endings. This section covers late-game story material.

Silver Pines Map and Exploration

Paper maps reveal nearby locations and landmarks, while your camera adds visual reminders. Revisit photographed obstacles whenever you obtain a weapon, tool or key that could open a new route.

Silver Pines Achievements and Demo Progress

Achievements include story progress, upgrades, collectibles and optional interactions. Keep demo progress separate from your full-game checklist, because demo saves do not transfer.

  • Optional Achievement Stops

Call 911 from a payphone and pet the cat in the ferry office for two optional achievements. Set aside a coin for the call.

  • Demo Walkthrough and Achievements

Use the demo to learn saving, exploration and combat. It contains three Hip Bags, but you will start a new save when moving to the full game.

Silver Pines FAQ

Which difficulty should I choose?

Relaxed emphasizes story and exploration, while Tense offers a more forgiving survival experience. Survival Horror is the intended balance, and Nightmare is available from the start.

Are puzzle codes the same in every save?

The Crimson Bear Motel gate code changes between saves, so check the guest ledger. The documented shotgun locker and Room 3 safe combination is 6671. Always match a solution to the correct lock.

How many endings does the game have?

Three: Leave, Rest and Live. Keep a save at the payphone before meeting Eddie so you can return to the ending routes.

How long does the game take to beat?

The available walkthroughs do not establish a reliable completion-time range. Puzzle solving, backtracking, difficulty and optional collectible hunting can all affect your playtime.

Does demo progress carry into the full game?

No. Demo saves do not transfer to the full game. You can still use the demo to learn the opening systems and practice managing supplies.

Is this an official game wiki?

No. This is an independent fan wiki with free-to-read guides. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wych Elm or Team17.
