In Silver Pines, weapons double as progression tools — the crowbar pries open wooden barriers, the sledgehammer smashes cracked walls, and the box cutter slices through tarp blockades that seal off entire map sections. Getting the right weapon at the right time is less about damage output and more about staying unblocked. This page covers every weapon across all three categories, including the two that only appear after you finish the game, so you have a complete reference for any run.

All Firearms and Where to Find Them

Silver Pines has 11 firearms in total — ten available during a normal playthrough and one tied to a specific ending. Several guns share ammo types: the Model 7 Rifle and S-1 Carbine both chamber .223 rounds, and the Snub .38 Revolver and 1911 Service Pistol both use .38. Picking up a second gun in either of those pairs gives you a faster fire rate or a better reload without splitting your ammo pool.

1911 Service Pistol.38, 7 rounds (10 upgraded)Union Apartments supervisor's lockbox

S-1 Carbine.223, 5 roundsChurch Hill docks fishing shack crate (4514)
Swedish K SMG9mm, 20 rounds, full autoChurch Hill funeral home attic
NailgunNails, 14Downtown cinema projector room
.44 Magnum.44, 6 roundsSewers, after the Sheriff fight near Cable Station Bell E
Omega RifleMagnetic Slugs, 4Finish the Live ending — carries into a new run

Several of these require solving a short puzzle before the gun becomes available:

  • W-500 Shotgun: Dial 58883 from any payphone to reach the woman in Room 3. She gives you the weapon locker code, 6671.
  • 1911 Service Pistol: Read the four newspaper clippings in the supervisor's office. Match each tenant to their room — artist in 1C, cat lady in 3A, writer in 2A, paranoid tenant in 3C — then enter that sequence on the lockbox.
  • Double Barrel Shotgun: Enter Ammo Zone through the back door using the card suits code, then return with your flashlight. Read the jersey upstairs ("23," "Class of 67") and enter 2367 on the cage lock. Two enemies are waiting inside.
  • The North Star: Talk to the cowboy in the Quiet Hour Cafe once. Return after the cemetery section and the lever-action shotgun is waiting at his table alongside three boxes of 12ga slugs.
  • .44 Magnum: After the Sheriff fight near Cable Station Bell E, locate the Detective in the sewers. Exhaust every dialogue option. He drops the revolver when the conversation ends — leaving early means losing it.

All Melee Weapons

There are seven melee weapons in Silver Pines. Every melee weapon loses durability with each swing, and duct tape is the only way to restore it. Running a weapon to zero does not destroy it, but its damage drops to almost nothing. Each weapon also has a secondary tool function worth knowing before you pick it up.

Melee WeaponDurabilitySecondary UseLocation
Box Cutter21Cuts cloth and plastic tarpsOutside Rodney's General Store
Crowbar28Breaks wooden objects and pries barriersSheriff's Office evidence lockup
Shovel28Progression use; caravan only opens after finding all cable car bellsDigging man's caravan, Downtown
Sledgehammer28Demolishes cracked walls; heavy stamina costChurch Hill, upper street near the cemetery
Blade21Sharp but fragile; no secondary tool roleRiverside, abandoned house red graffiti room
Baseball Bat21Well-balanced, no special functionMarket Street backlot, behind Ammo Zone
Switchblade—Fast close-range swings; no tool functionFinish the Leave ending — carries into a new run

The box cutter is the easiest weapon to walk past. After you open the Rodney's General Store freezer with code 2311, step outside and pick it up off the ground near the fence. The sledgehammer consumes stamina faster than any other melee weapon, so use it exclusively to break barriers and swap to a lighter option for combat encounters.

Throwables

Silver Pines has three throwable types. Bottles spawn at approximately 30 spots across 11 areas and function both as a thrown distraction and as a crafting component for Molotovs. The Pipe Bomb is a single-use pickup and the highest burst-damage item in the game.

ThrowableNotesWhere to Find It
BottleSingle use as thrown; combines with gasoline to craft a Molotov~30 spawn locations across 11 areas
Pipe BombSingle use; 120 damageAmmo Zone stairwell
MolotovCrafted; deals fire damage over an areaCombine a Bottle with gasoline in the inventory

To craft a Molotov, open the inventory near a storage crate and press Combine. Items that can be merged highlight in blue — if a bottle and gasoline are both present, the option will appear immediately. The Molotov is most effective in narrow corridors where multiple enemies bunch together.

Weapon Upgrades and Attachments

The full release includes seven weapon attachments. None appear in the demo build. Attachments change capacity and reload behavior rather than base damage, which affects how often you need to find cover mid-fight rather than how fast enemies go down.

AttachmentApplies ToEffect
CylinderSnub .38 RevolverRaises capacity from 5 to 6 rounds
Extended Magazine1911 Service PistolRaises capacity from 7 to 10 rounds
Extended Magazine TubeW-500 ShotgunDoubles shell capacity from 4 to 8

The Extended Magazine Tube for the W-500 is located on Silver Road in Downtown. Picking it up before the church section pays off — the W-500 feeds from the same 12ga pool as The North Star and the Double Barrel Shotgun, and four shells disappear quickly in any multi-enemy room. The 1911 upgrade is also worth the detour: the pistol already reloads a full magazine at once rather than loading individual rounds, and pushing its capacity to 10 makes it one of the best options going into boss fights.

Unlockable Weapons: Omega Rifle and Switchblade

Two weapons are not available during a first playthrough. Both unlock after you reach a specific ending and carry automatically into a new run from the start.

  • Omega Rifle: An experimental electromagnetic rifle that fires Magnetic Slugs. It deals 50 damage per hit and pierces every enemy in its path — the strongest firearm in the game. Unlocked by finishing the Live ending.
  • Switchblade: A small concealable knife designed for fast close-range swings with no secondary tool function. Unlocked by finishing the Leave ending.

Getting both requires two separate runs. Finish the Live ending first if you want the Omega Rifle for a second playthrough, then aim for the Leave ending on that same run to get the Switchblade afterward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does silver pines all weapons include melee and throwables, or just guns? Silver Pines all weapons covers three categories: 11 firearms, 7 melee weapons, and 3 throwables, for 21 in total. The two unlock weapons — the Omega Rifle and the Switchblade — are part of that count but require finishing specific endings before they appear.

What is the strongest weapon available without finishing the game? The .44 Magnum deals 45 damage per hit and pierces enemies, making it the most powerful firearm found in the world. The Pipe Bomb deals 120 damage in a single throw, which beats every gun for burst damage, but it is single-use.

Which weapons are easy to miss on a first run? The W-500 Shotgun requires a payphone call the game does not direct you to make. The Double Barrel Shotgun is behind a locked cage that many players skip. The .44 Magnum only drops if you exhaust the Detective's full dialogue — walking away early means the gun never appears.

Can you collect every weapon in one playthrough? All non-unlock weapons are collectible in a single run. The Omega Rifle and the Switchblade each require a separate ending, so reaching both takes at least two complete playthroughs.

Where is the Model 7 Rifle in Silver Pines? The Model 7 Rifle is in the armory at the Sheriff's Office. The Armory Key is on the bed in Cell B in the basement holding area. Pick up the key, open the armory door, and the rifle is on the ground inside with its ammo in a nearby locker.
